If device does not support standard system MIB (.1.3.6.1.2.1.1) NetXMS server will not recognize it as SNMP-capable. Starting with version 1.2.8, it is possible to set custom SNMP OID which server will use to test SNMP availability. Custom SNMP OID can be set via custom attribute named snmp.testoid. For example, for device mentioned in forum post above, setting snmp.testoid to .1.3.6.1.4.1.14848.2.1.1.1.0 should work.
